Poetry

It’s Time

It’s time that made us what we are
And shaped our dreams wished on a star
May we strive for peace, not war
Let’s not run out of time.

Winter Bird

Winter bird, I saw you fly
Traced upon dawn’s rosy sky
And I stopped and wondered why
Does man yet fear that night.

Winter Bridges

A bridge,
oaken, rimed with frost.
A sleigh carries us across to Nana and Grandpa’s house.

I believe

The days have shortened by degrees,
and bright stars gleam above.
At hearthside against winter’s freeze,
we speak of peace and love.

Reflections

I do not know the summer sky,
it makes me yearn for winter’s sigh.
When seven sisters greet my sight
and twirl across a crystal night.
As stardust reels above my head,
down Nature’s path my steps be led.

Daydreams

Cozy cat before a fire
Winter sunbeams dapple trees
Sparrow twitters on a wire
May your days be such as these.

Child’s Play

Ebony branches lace the sky.
The pale sun sinks away.
A crystal sunset holds my eye.
Now winter comes to play.

Winter Wishing

I wish upon a starry night
that truth to man may come to light.
And reason’s voice will rise above,
when strife and fear fall ‘way to love.

Winter Dreams

Midwinter stars that dance
the sky
While snowflakes dust the land.
